Kenny's Where to ride 12/9

Skyline looks good today for wind in the mid teens. It will be cold! You might get lucky with a big kite in PC or at the point of the mountain if you can find decent coverage. BTW, the softball field in PC is off limits. The owner wishes to protect the expensive turf and the tall lights are a kite hazard anyway.
Strawberry will have wind. I doubt it is rideable unless the lake is frozen. Rush may also be doable, just not sure about coverage. I could also use some reports on coverage up north as well. A reply to my daily forecast is much appreciated.

Thursday looks like light wind at skyline.

Friday is looking windless right now.

For what it's worth, I got the following off the Utah Fishing Report ( http://www.utah.com/fish/fishbytes.htm ) site: "Strawberry will be essentially not fishable now, with snow on access roads and thin ice covering bays. Some bays will have enough ice to support iced fishing soon but the main lake will probably not be solid until about Christmas."

i stopped at POM yesterday (12/8) at the North flight park. Not enough snow to kite there.

Sorry about the lack of reports up north so far but I have been traveling a lot and haven't been home for 2 weeks. I may try to get out this weekend. Does anyone have any idea if the top of Soldier Summit is rideable? I head to Price this Sunday and might pack the gear if it looks good.
