2/19 Kenny's Where to Ride

I am posting early today for those that really want to ride, your best bet is to go now. There is a lot of snow in the forecast today. PowMow should get the least amount of snow (of the high mountain locations), but the wind promises to be strong. It is blowing in the mid-thirties right now. Strawberry is blowing mid-teens with a SE wind. Could last all day if the precip is not too heavy. However, I would get up there now and get the goods before visibility becomes a factor and if you don't have 4-wheel drive, do us all a favor and stay home. The drive home may be a crawl. Skyline is still clear, but will probably sock in soon. UDOT or Park City East should also give up rides. I am not sure how it is on a SE wind, but it does promise mid-teens today.

Sunday is looking like another snow day with the wind ramping down and turning WSW. Might get some light rides at Strawberry Marina or Viewpoint. Skyline will probably be socked in. PowMow should give up some rides in the low to mid-teens with less snow than other mountain locations. Wind is looking too weak for UDOT.

Monday is looking like low to mid-teens at Skyline and PowMow. Strawberry might give up some light wind rides at the view area.

I like the way strawberry looks tomorrow for anyone coming out to the contest. I think sunday should be the best wind day with a SW flow. Monday should also give it up.
