5/26 Craig's Where to Sail

After my last few prognostications, maybe you should just use tea
leaves and entrails. But for what it's worth............

Upper level winds are Southeast and should switch Southwest by
afternoon. Combine that with one of the weirdest shaped fronts
I've ever seen, and a lot of rain and storm enegry, and cold air,
and you've got a recipie for unruly conditions. I'm thinking the best
guess will be the more Southern locations, so UL Lincoln, UL MM19,
and Mona, and maybe even Yuba this afternoon and evening might
get 4.5/8M winds, if the rain and T-heads don't mess that up. DC will be
up around 10 AM with wild 5/10M gusts, until about 5. Rush, and Willard
will likely go 5/10 from about Noon until 6 or 7, again with wild
fluctuations during rain squalls. Combine that with air temps that
might hit 60 degrees, and it's more than a little dangerous, so keep that
in mind.

Tomorrow, steadier cold wind at Rush from the North in the 6/12M
range late AM to early PM, and gustier NW winds PM at UL launches
in the 6/12M range under cloudy skies that barely make it to 50 degrees.

Monday, a DC thermal looks in order, while you remember those who fell
to protect your way of life.
