6-3 ULLB 11m instinct

What a surprise early wind, It looked like a late PM push was setting up, but the indacators looked good early so out the door I went.

Arrived to Jay and Todd riding 11m and new kiter Dave on a 13. Some other new kiters Kevin and friend about to make some really big launch mistakes Sal and I ran down before disaster struck. Sort of scary to see a newbie putting up 15sle and his friend 11 Ckite glad we were there. They both did ok but had to walk and slosh a bunch.

Jason and Derry showed up they both went to SS from LB. The chop was so good. Jake and Jay were having a blast picking lines over the reeds and grass.

Ryan was styling as usual super smooth and drifty. We all had a blast and some of us rode till dark. Then off to 3 for 99cent tacos at taco time. What a great day. I had a lesson schuduled and canceled it in the AM based on craigs report. Could have used the money but the kiting made up for it. Plus I just reschudled for Thurs.

It was Brian Doubek not Derry who kited with me over to SSB to take some rides in the honey hole. We sessioned three slicks yesterday:

1) Lincoln beach downwind of the jetty.
2) The honey hole at SSB( Dean's fav). Where was Dean and Arpi?
3) Inside Lincoln beach boat harbor.

All three are absolutely amazing. Kiting over to SSB is a full commitment and was a prep for the Saratoga or AF boat harbor to Lincoln beach long distance excursion I have been wanting to do for years. I hope we get the chance to do it this year. Saw Jake and Billy both jump the jetty. Sick. BTW- Brian's car got broken into last night when he got home and all his kit was stolen! Everything. He was too tired to unpack and paid the price. Big time! 3 Cabrinha kites. A custom Stretch kiteboard and a Litewave Tsunami 137. Patagonia river bag. Wetsuit, harness, helmet: The list goes on and on. Jon M- When the insurance check comes in we will be giving you a call!!!!!! Hope to see ya'll tonight.

p.s.- Del Taco was a good call for the 3 for a dollar taco tuesday after kiting. Billy ate 9 tacos!!!! It will be blowing hard today in Billy's shorts at least.

Another great evening at the carp rodeo! Rode for almost 2 1/2 hours on my 11 Waroo, a touch underpowered for the first hour, but then really nice for the rest of the session. Heading back in from way out at one point, i counted 9 other kites in the air. I spent most of the time farther out having fun in the 3' waves and avoiding the butter-smoothe hogs (i won't name names). couple of newbies were working hard - keep at it boys, it'll come.

Did anyone accidentally throw my pump in with their gear - I had left it out on the grass, but it was gone when i came in. It is a large, plain black (no logo) pump with a guage. There was a similar pump (but with a different guage) laying out when i came in, maybe whoever's that was threw mine in ther car by mistake? If anyone find's it in with their gear, let me know. post here or call me 435-647-6267 and i'll meet up with you.

I saw the pump laying on the grass. So, I pick it up. I threw it away and kept the gauge. I notice it was hard to pull and push. So, I decided to give you a new pump to make up for being one of those hog out on the butter flat.

The Aztec Warrior took award yesterday for the biggest boost.

Billy the Gapper gap the jetty.

Ryan Allen's smoothest move with his boosts and spins.

The BJ crew (Brain and Jason) have longest upwind tak.

Dave Kyle took the Rookies of the day.

Brain pull the sickest kiteloop by accident

The rest of the crew Klien, Todd, Kevin, and newbies did the Carp Rodeo out in 3' swell. I saw a lot Carp giving up for getting ride on.

Jake, since you came in after i left (and i'm assuming you saw it at the end of your session), i think that pump was probably the one that looked like mine but wasn't. The guage on that one had a chrome housing, mine had a black housing.... so if the guage you have is chrome, that wasn't my pump. That said, if you'd like to donate a pump to a loyal Best customer, i'm all for it if i don't get mine back.

Dam I missed this one. On my way home from Lehi I looked out over UL and it didnt look to good. By the time I got home I started getting texts from people heading out.
I knew I regretted driving home as it cleared up and I could see the trees moving. O well can't ride em all. Unless your name is BILLY!
