Mon 6/30 G-ville with G, 7.4, 125l Roberts

Grant and I hightailed it to G-ville this morning at 7:00. Arrived to see no whitecaps, and on the grass, the Buddha-like Ken Onstott sitting by his van, facing towards the mountains, chanting, "7-8 lull, 7-8 lull, 7-8 lull" while holding his windmeter. He was right, at 8:00 it turned on and off we went for two great hours. Me on a 7.4, Grant on his 8.5 and Ken on his 7.0. Some lulls, here and there, but mostly nicely wound up, with many screamers. Great to see the G-ville back on, even if it's later, even if it's lighter than last year. Water is high, just about 50 feet from the rail. Long reaches. Yahoo! Nothing desperate about us today, just stoked. Ya gotta watch da flow. Oh,and chant, "7-8 lull, 7-8 lull, 7-8 lull..."

Believe me, I'd be delighted with desperation 8.5, heck, these days I'm stoked when I can walk. Looks like
I may be red shirted for the season (at least), but by the magic of MRI I may know more.
