DC Sailboat Beach 19M SA

Wind was too light at the darkside beach, so I drove up to the dam. Wind was really light, but rideable and good enough to jump in the gusts. A couple of the lulls were big enough that I was concerned that I would end up going too far downwind to get back to the beach, but it fortunately all worked out. Rode for about 90 minutes. Water was nice and smooth.

I wondered if that might happen. Was it 3-5pm-ish?

I'm not sure it happened @ all especially at IB. We watched from the parking area above, and about 2:30 there was about 10 mph breeze, for about 15 min. We thought it was building, and at least went down to the boat ramp area to rig and be ready. Unfortunately, we had seen the best of the wind, we never even saw a slight cap. Waited until 4:30 and derigged. Lot's of us thought it would blow. Glad to hear that SBB at least had something, we should have gone up that way.

It was light the whole time, probably 8 - 10 with gusts to 15. I can ride in that light of wind with my largest board and kite.
