I had last Friday off and with rain in the forecast for the SLC area, I decided to head south.
Got to Yuba about 9a.m. and it was blowing powered up 5.5. sailed til about noon when it started to get squirrely, so I packed up and headed to Piute. Arrived about 3 to awesome 5.0 conditions, (probably should have rigged 4.5). Sailed til dark if anything the wind got stronger.
I camped there at Piute and it rained hard later that night and the next morning so I packed up and headed to Sand Hollow.
Arrived about 11 Saturday morning to light rain and even lighter wind. Hung out and read a book til about 3:30 gave up and went for a hike in Zions. Camped in Zions that night and hooked up with a couple from New Zealand and ended up crashing a private party sponsored by Red Bull.(I think it was Mt.Bike thing) free beer and food!!!
Woke up late the next morning (Sunday) to no wind so I hiked Angels Landing and headed home.
I did stop by Sand Hollow on the way out and it looked like maybe 7.5 conditions. My biggest is 6.0, so I brought it on home.

Sand Hollow is a hard one to catch. I spent the whole summer trying to get some good wind there last year. Then I discovered that it's real value is in scuba diving.
