Got down to the beach at 11:45 and rigged my 6.6 fast as possible even though it was blowing 30+ in the gusts. I figured
It wouldn't last more than two hours since it was cloudy in slc and heading this way. I had some ripping over powered reaches
that made me wish I had rigged a 5.0. And after awhile I saw two kites down low at kite beach and was happy to see someone else besides me on the water. Once we got close enough to see each other I waved and could see what size kite
they were on and it looked like a 7m. That is about as close in size between sail and kite as I've seen. Not to long after that
the wind started to lighten up and I could see the clouds getting closer. Made a few more reaches before it backed off so
much that I had to putt back in and call it a day.
