Yes, I was desperate but I still pulled it off yesterday morning and it felt real good! I figured that there was a small window in the morning with the recent snow and Ogden canyon winds blow nearly every morning. Since it was a grass field I wasn't worried about rocks. So I packed up the kites and tele ski's and headed for the Dinosaur park at the mouth of Ogden canyon. The wind was light, 10-12 or so, the snow was marginal, about 6 inches. But hey, was anyone else able to make tracks? I arrived at 8:00 and kited for about an hour before the wind died. The biggest problem was the very sticky snow-I had ice balls on my bases and when the kite would launch I had to go straight downwind several times or risk going over the handlebars. Towards the end as the wind was dying I saw KSL filming me from Harrison blvd. They missed the best part. You may have seen some short footage last night in their weather segment but it was kinda lame. I went by the field about 4:00 and it was all melted, but I was on my way to go kayaking so it didn't matter then.
