I'd really rather be snowkiting at Strawberry, but since that's not on the menu yet, windsurfing at DC will just have to do. A breeze out of the SW started up at about 1 and built slowly to a modest peak at a little after 3; prolonged lulls, occasional gusts as high as 21, enough to get the rig onto a plane from time to time. Definitely drysuit conditions IMHO. I tried Playtex gloves when I first went out but ended up with burning fingertips after one round trip. DaKine mittens solved that. Otherwise, the temperature wasn't really a problem; the water is about 48F.
