12/27 Skyline 14M Outlaw

I figured that I would take the family out to Skyline to do some tubing and then kite a bit myself. The snow was so deep that it made tubing difficult so the kids pulled out their snowboards and built a jump on Bosco. My 17 year old daughter also did some snowkiting. Skyline is a bit difficult for beginners because the wind is often too light on the flats and too strong up on the hill. My daughter discovered that fact after spending 30 minutes trying to get to the hill and then shooting up the hill in a couple minutes and dropping the kite on top because she was overpowered. Temps were low, but it was sunny until late in the day when the clouds started rolling in.

I finally got in a hour at the end of the day. Wind was 15 - 20. I rode powered up on a 14M FS Outlaw through 18" of blown powder. Chris Nestor, Jeff Kaufka and Ryan were there as well as 7 or 8 other kiters.
