27 Mar 09 Strawberry 14m Mayhem

Pulled into the Strawberry River lot with the 4 Runner today. Much easier entry and exit. Rigged at about 12:40 and stayed out for 4 hours. Launched myself off of everything that I could. Must have bonked my head a few times, as I didn't recognize Dave at first with his monster kite (17 m). I had been launching myself around a bowl when I decided to follow him to the gliding area. He was looping, and going backwards and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. I managed a few high (for me) glides and wrecked a few times, helmet came in handy. Snow was a 7/10 in the lee areas maybe 5-8 inches deep, and grabby enough to make you work for it. Took a bit of work to make it back to the lot, but driving out of the lot was a bit easier this time. Interesting to note that they did not plow the lot between last night and 5 pm today.
