The thing I like most about learning a new sport is that, once past the initial pain and suffering, for a period of time you routinely get to have your "best session ever." After a time you get jaded and more particular about things but that's inevitable. Today I got to have another "BSE" at lake creek above Heber. Usual Supects were off chasing water so I dragged my brother who is still at the "pain and suffering" level and headed up. We rode our sleds in the morning powder for over 3 hrs before the clouds lifted off the kite zone; all according to plan. Kiting; he got a proper working his first day on one plank. The strong northerly allowed me to cover more terrain than ever at this spot. Kited for 2 hours and it was super on when we left at three. One negative about snowmokiting is that if your freind is cold, wet, tired, broken or whatever there is no car for them to warm up in while you continue to ride and it seems harsh to make them wait around in the cold and wind, just to watch you pound in repeatedly. So we packed up. Thought it would be impossible to beat my last "BSE" at LC this season but it just happened; and on April 17th!

Here's to Best Sessions Ever.
