Utah Lake Festival... Huge props to all who came!!!

The Utah Lake Festival on the 6th was massive. I've never seen so many people at the Provo Boat Harbor...

I can't remember all who came but there were enough kites and windsurfers set up to show our presence. I actually happened to be chatting with the Utah Lake Commission chair, Reed Price, and head Utah Lake Ranger, Ty Hunter watching Jeff Moore's son windsurf acrossed the marina bay. They saw where all the windsurfers were launching off of the jetty ankle breaker rocks and both commented on how they really needed to do something about the launches.

The kites were set up which they also acknowledged were interesting to see. I of course told them that there'd have been many more of us there if it'd been windy. Jason Mortenson brought some killer stand up paddle boards that made it a blast to tool around the marina.

Seriously, you guys who showed up are going to be a big reason why they keep us in the loop in the future. This specifically solidified to the committee that we are present on the lake. The kiters and windsurfers who came and made a presence this last weekend can be thanked. As planners write up more specific development plans, Kiteboarding and Windsurfing will be in there as part of the group of Utah Lake recreationalists.

You all who came deserve some serious swag. ;))

Thx, The UWA... And all of us who in 10 years will have killer launch sites that we might not necessarily have had if you hadn't have made your sacrifice attending the Festival this weekend.

PS... We even had a number of beginner windsurfers who had some instruction from shore and from the paddle boards. So, this was somewhat of a successfull beginner day too.
