Gorge 3.7 - 6.2

Postby Sarah Ranes » Mon Jun 22, 2009 11:37 am

Luck has been on our side this year, the wind arrived when we did. We've had 9 days straight of really good wind here in the Gorge. Most days on the 4.2 or 4.7, one day on the 6.2 and one day on the 3.7. Our only problem now is tired bodies, we wear out way before the wind does. Crowds have been minimal, you can even find a good swell area, at Dougs, and have it all to yourself for more than an hour. And there is plenty of room to set your gear down, when you come in for a rest. The water temp, is ok, the 4.3 is keeping me warm, most of the time. I have even seen people out in shorties, Carl come to mind, but he is way tougher than me. We've had a good time sailing with the Utah'ns that come through. Mr. Goudie, Gunnars, Jim H. Ken O, Carl, and ran into a few others. Pete and Jerrilyn....(the # you gave me, rang someone else). We look forward to more wind today, and hopefully sunshine too. HEAD WEST IF YOU CAN!
