Ahhhh, summertime. Warm temps, green grass, and the buttersmoothe hogs come out to graze.

I was maybe a little overly optimistic yesterday rigging the 10, but my next step up at 14 probably would have been a bit much for a while there - guess i shouldn't be so lazy and just pump both. The 10 had plenty of power for the middle hour+ i was out, but a 12/13 was probably the right kite for last night. I counted 20 kites in the air at one point and there were probably a few more. Nice to finally see some blue sky and steady wind after the last month.

It was a much needed sesh since I have not rode in a long time. Having been skunked twice prior to this I took all that I could out of this one. When i showed up at 5:30 there were already alot of kites(15 or so) and i could not wait to get out there. I rigged the 12m and rocketed out of the bay. Since i am only 140Lbs it was a little much for me. Jake was nice enough to let me demo the new Kahoona. I will say it has super stability for boosting. I did love the last hour and a half on that beauty. Thanks Jake. I think the people fishing were having more fun watching us kite that they were fishing. By the way Mark, The raley pic is me. That must have been the one where I didn't eat it. every other time I was airborn it didnt look so nice.

I had probably the best session on water for me. One lesson learned is to make sure the velcro on the dump valve is TIGHT. I crashed the kite and the dump valve came open. There I was swimming 200 meters off shore. A huge thanks to Spencer for taking my board in and to Alex for dragging me into shore. I wasn't making much progress with my one handed side stroke. Thanks for the help guys. I pumped it back up, secured the dump valve and rode from 7 till dark.

Jason is FAST! I watched as he left me in the dust on the way over to SSB.

It was good to see everyone back on the water again. Seemed like it would be easier to count those MIA then those in attendance. Wind was a little on/off. 13M Waroo was the right size for me.

It was good to clean all the mud off my gear. I guess the Rush season is over for the rest of you, I am still not done playing in the mud

Here are a few more. I have too many to go through I will try and burn them to a dvd if anyone wants to look though and find some they like then pass it on. 3gigs of pictures is overwhelming. If you where out there I might have got a pic of you. Most are of Jake though because he is a lens hog.

I think I might have been the last to arrive and the sight of that many kites on the water was incredible.
