Had a very nice Deer Creek kind day, at Charelston, with great company. The Bradshaws, Jim Southwick, Jim H. Darksider, Me and LInda. The usual, plane and schlog wind, lots of sun, and very pleasant water temps. The usual south wind, turned mostly east, the wind really kicked in, and I was riding from Charelston, straight south, down the lake. It was some very powered up rides, straight into the chop, and tough to make gybes, but plenty of wind. It was the first time in a long time, I've used an aluminum boom on a bigger sail like that. It worked just fine, but I was surprised at how much it flexed, and felt spongey. I'll be happy to have my carbon boom back soon.
