SW wind started kicking in at about 1:30. Not much wind at the launch, but lots of caps on the far side when I arrived (about 2.) More planing than slogging with 8.5m^2 sail and wide board. Moderately gusty when I got on the water (2:30) and got much worse over the next hour. No other poleboarders or kiters and only a couple of powerboats.
