Grantsville almost Nukefest

Postby Grant McAllister » Thu Aug 06, 2009 1:42 pm

Got up early and checked the readings at Grants and was surprised to see the winds were only in the high teens to low 20`s. DK and I decided to go early anyway and got on the water around 8:00 am along with the usual suspects-John, Jim and George. Sail range from 5.7 for Jim (who planes up in the teens on his rig) to 6.9 for me to get my big ass moving. Sailed way powered until 10:00 when it really picked up and went nuclear around 11:00. I was on my way home when Duane called from grants and said it was blowing so hard that you couldn`t see the reservoir for the dust. This was 3 days in a row for me and still looking for more! Who said Utah sailin ain`t good in August!!!!
