8/2-7 Cape Cod

I got a couple good days in the Wellfleet Harbor. This is where Eric Gustafson spends his summers. There's a rock jetty that goes out aways, similar to Lincoln Beach, that has a good flat water area. After the second day, one of the one-pump valves on my Ozone started leaking so I patched it as good as I could. On our last day the wind finally blew on the ocean side. I had been waiting for this a long time because there's real waves to ride. When we got to the beach there was good wind and some small waves. I excitedly pumped the kite up but then I heard it, a hissing noise. The patch didn't hold. I walked back to the car with my head hanging low. I sat around after wondering what I could do, then it dawned on me that I could cut the whole valve out of the bladder and patch over the hole. Then inflate the strut by itself. It worked, but the wind was gone.

Thanks for the offer Billy but the bladder from my old 13 is still good so I'm going to use that.
