8/31 UL Lincoln Beach 13m 149

Went to lincoln about 3 and played in the gusty south wind for a few hours before it died. Sat around waiting for the north with a few other perple until about 6:30. I am pretty sure that Peter was the bad luck guy or something because as soon as he left it got really good for about an hour. There were only 3 of us there when it finally hit. It was a good time.

I had a great time with Chris and his buddy. Bugs were getting kinda bad by UT standards. I threw my kite into my trunk and just boogied out of there at 8:20ish. Adequately powered on a 14m and surfboard. Interesting that Bluffdale never measured more than 15mph - in fact it was 11-13mph most of the time, and had dropped to single digits when the wind was good at Lincoln.

The wind switched to north at Bluffdale at apx 3pm and didn't pick up at Lincoln until 4 hours later.

Peter and Trevor will get good wind soon after picking my ass up from my "kelp incident" today.
