When I woke up Grants was cold and north so I am surprised I eked out a session. I got there later than normal as I read the paper until I saw it go south. It was classic Grants with the wind meter in the 20’s most of the morning (perfect 5.7/6.0 on the water). It was just over 50 degrees when I started which seemed awful cold. But I got by with a wetsuit without a hood. The reach seems short but, taken in perspective, it is still wider than the wave section at the Hatchery. And the walk to the water isn’t any longer than Doug’s/Rowena. Wonderful screaming reaches all morning. It was up to 65 degrees when I left and the wind was 20-25 WNW. I was tempted but there were large holes on the water. I was thinking about UL when I came back into the valley but all the flags were pretty limp so I bagged it.
