Skunked at DC 10/16...

Postby dave holmgren » Fri Oct 16, 2009 7:14 pm

Shawn was out windsurfing (well- sailboard standing...) for a few hours and got some wind, but there was really nada from 2:30 until 5:15 ish, when it picked up to 'bout 8 or 9 kts. By then we were on our way home. Oh well, it was a pretty day at least, and the water is still not too cold for a normal (2-3mm) suit. So if it blows this weekend, might be decent and not too hard core...

Oh, and the jet skis worked, so it was still fun... :))

Judging from the data recorded by my weather station, the peak wind arrived very late (about 6:45) and the direction was quite southerly and unstable. Would be interesting to know what Sundance was doing, but it seems to be down again.

DC teased, but never really gave up the goods.
