pleasant surprise on a family planned sad trip. My dad gave me rare strong wind. Stayed on the island, sailed right out the front door of the hotel on north beach. Strong smooth clearing north wind, wish I would have taken my 9m. I took a 11 and a 15. Kited all day saturday on the 11m, had to come in once and wait it out as it was blowing like snot for my 11m, but it let up a notch and I let out a knot on my outside lines and finish the day on the 11m. 2 hours on sunday in perfect 11m wind, then off to the airport. Sailing in saltwater is the best, sand as white as snow. Met some other kiters there, who were very helpful. For the gulf of mexico the swell got rather big, swell 4 to 5 footers. Waves 3 to 5 footers. Played in the waves a lot, only one bad digger but was able to relaunch out of it.
