Arrived around 12 to light and variable wind. Decided to rig up anyway. Trevor and Pete showed up just before I get out. Boys, was that fun! Trevor and Pete went over to the gliding hills and got some big air! Pete went almost a football field length in many jumps. I had fun carving up the untracked snow for about 3 hours. Kenny and his kids showed up round 3:30, so did couple other folks (Julienne and Rob, plus two others I forgot to ask for names). The wind shut down at 4:15, however. :(

Look forward to another great day at Strawberry River. :)

I actually arrived at 1 PM with my kids. Wind was light and I spent a lot of time setting up and taking down kites trying to find the right size. However, my son and daughter both got some good rides. We ended up having to hike out when the wind shut down, but my children were happy so it was all good. The weird thing was that we went to CC East first and there was no wind at all, not even a light breeze. I prefer CCE for teaching as the wind tends to be more consistent and the lack of terrain features on the ice simplifies things.

Kenny, you're one cool dad. I'll make sure my kids go do all the cool things with me when I have one.
