Lots of fresh powder and decent wind from about 10AM to about 1PM. Mike Hill and I were adequately (occasionally fully) powered-up on 7.5 Frenzies.

We want details... Did it really blow that hard at strawbs? Was up in the Uintas all day at about 10k feet and never saw wind more than 10-15 mph in the windy zones later in the day. Calm early. Must have been fun. How did the snow hold up to all that sun?

Thanks for keeping us posted!

The wind didn't last long; it was really starting to back off by 1PM, but while it lasted, Mike and I were getting good rides on 7.5 Frenzies. By the end of the session, the snow seemed to be getting a little sticky, but not bad. Who knows what the afternoon sun did to it, though. Still excellent snow coverage at the River, with very little vegetation poking through. The parking lot hasn't been plowed for a while, but is fairly well packed down, although one 4X4 pickup pulling a trailer load of sleds did get stuck as he was leaving (fortunately for him and us, he had a very long tow chain with him.)
