RUSH/SSB 4/17/10

Postby David Kyle » Sat Apr 17, 2010 10:16 pm

Trevor, Pete and I gave Rush a try today around 1:00 and left around 3:00 with
few rides to speek of. Water level is so dam low! Got down to SSB around 6:00
and kited 17m Waroo's and 16m Havoc with decent power despite the lack
of whitecaps. Glad we took a chance at SSB. Left at dark or around 8:30.

Unfortunately, Rush is really more of a pond now. The wind often takes a while to fill-in there on a pure thermal day and sometimes never does. You made the right call heading over to UL.

I am surprised that you were able to launch at SSB! I would have thought that it would be underwater. How big is the launch area?

 That was funny. If that wasnt a joke, the F16 is big, powered up backroll vai backloop.

Kenny,
At SSB, the water is all the way up to the parking area so drift launch is almost a must. there is still alot of trash. The butter streach to the east is really big and way more fun now.
