I watched the wind meter @ Willard all morning, and decided to give it a try. Arrived @ Willard about 2:15 to lighter than expected wind, and thought we had missed it. Gunars had just, headed out on a 7.0 and 105, and just schlogged and went downwind. I didn't think he would make it back to our launch spot. But then I saw him get a ride, so Linda and I, jumped in too, with my 7.2 and big board, and was nicely powered. With in 30 mins. I was op'd and went in to get the 106. That worked pretty well most of the time, but some of the gusts had me wishing for the 6.2. I managed to hang on for a couple of hours, and had some really fun fast rides. It was awesome to park right next to the water's edge, rig on grass, step into water, that is 10 feet away and have a nice sandy, safe bottom, and a really nice long reach. I'll look forward to trying it again, soon I hope.
