May 8-10 C4 10m SF Bay

3 for 3 in the SF bay area.. looks like their season just turned on. Saturday was at Sherman Island in a shorty, Sunday under the Golden Gate at Crissy and Monday in and out of Squalls at Ocean Beach in small waves.

Great demo testing time on the new Ozone models. The C4 is an amazing kite with a great range, even cranks upwind like an Edge, but it turns better than any kite I've flown in years. The Edge is truly a high performance wing that points upwind even higher than last years and flies fast. The Catalyst was raved about by the wave riders, another brand rep wanted to put it on a scale at the grocery store to compare, he couldn't believe how light it felt for the size.

Apologies for the blatant bragging on the new gear, but I was stoked to finally get the 2010's on the water (instead of snow) and see how good they really are.

There is a piece of me that wants the Edge as that has been my main style of kite on water since 2007. And if I was only in waves I may stick with the Catalyst for its ease and simplicity. But I made the call this weekend that the C4 is my style of kite, it is just plain damn good at everything.

Windzup,
Brian Schenck

Demos available at Utah Lake in coming weekends.

I just spent 2 weeks in South Padre and had a chance to fly my new C4's. I loved the 9m right away. It has a huge range, great boosting and really fast turning. At first I wasn't sure about the 13m. It had comparable low to my old Sports to get planning on light days but didn't seem to have the boosting. I finally got a solid day on it when the wind was averaging 20mph and really had a blast. Great jumping and really fast turning. These kites really have a huge range and love to be lit up. I think I'll be able to handle most conditions with 9m & 13m C4's and a Zephyr. :)))

I also flew John's C4's in SPI.
I liked the 9M right away, but I'm gonna get a 10m.
(I hear Windzup has a few extras in stock)
I flew the new 2010 Edges also in SPI,
it has a huge range for high aspect kite.

I will be using the Zephyr for big kite, then go down to the 11M Edge,
then the C4's in all lower sizes.
That is just my style of riding,
Most "wake" style kiters will love the C4 in all sizes.

Wave riders, and unhooked riders, are in love with the Catalyst.

IMHO
