5/27 Mona 14m, 10m

Headed down to Mona after work because tables were showing that wind would last later if i traveled a bit south. Arrived Just after 4 to whitecaps. Wind was SSW. You really want it to be Due S at mona, but the SSW wasn't far off. Launched the 14m and big board. That lasted one tack and it was back in for the small board. Wind kind of rolled up and down, but slowly built to where i was just holding it down at the high end after about an hour, so i figured i could come in and rig the 10m and ride that for an hour. Of course, when i headed back out, wind had clocked more SW and was backing off - wished i had just kept the 14m. Kited for another hour underpowered on the 10m and big board. There was noone else there. no boats, no fishermen. nobody. so i kept it on the conservative side for the session. the leading edge on my 10 was soft when i came in. must have put it on a burr (there are a lot of em in the field just south of parking) while self launching. guess i'll add fixing that to my list of things to do this weekend (and hope i won't need it tonight at LB).
