I was hoping to find some stokes with the SuperFly crew today. However, Mother Nature had other plans. I bet Taylor that I could kite in the very light wind there around 12. Rigged and ready in 10 minutes and the wind was almost kite-able, for about 10 minutes. So, I packed up and was heading to Skyline. Before I get up to Daniel's Summit, I saw the flags indicating some light west wind. I always wanted to kite in that flat area just below Daniel's Summit because I only seen snowmobilers plying that area in the past. Well, no longer! I set up my 13 meter and kited for about 30 minutes before the wind died. So, I decided it would be more fun to hike up and do some back country snowboarding on those hills on the other side than going all the way to Skyline and risk skunk. As I was heading up the hill, the wind picked up significantly as a small snow squall was coming through. I rush to Strawberry River and saw Billy and Ryan pulling in. Billy decided it was too light and left. I wasn't as smart. I thought the wind will last at least an hour. So, I rig up again for the third time today. Well, the wind died about 10 minutes later.

The lessons today? Mother Nature is a big tease and I love rigging and de-rigging (not).
