Strawberry Milkshake 12M 2/25

It was a cold and windy afternoon at the overlook parking lot with a sky that matched the snow perfectly much like a metrosexual matches his belt to his shoes. The wind was up and down like a single mother making a living on the pole at Southern Exposure. Not a Jerky up and down like an at-home amateur on her mail-order home pole kit, but smooth like a seasoned professional. I pulled out my 12 meter. Fred pulled out his 11.5 and Tyson, won the prize with his 13M. We managed to get some rides (on the snow) but the conditions were dizzying. There was zipper crust everywhere (on the snow . . not on our actual zippers). There were beautiful powder sections that although attractive, involved wind that was much like the girl on the pole, flukey at best. After multiple jumps with unexpected landings that were either premature or higher than you thought, Fred went back to the car with a case of vertigo. Tyson and I played on the hills downwind for a little while longer before heading back to the car to call it. Just as we got back by the parking lot it cleared up just enough to keep us from quitting and we spent another hour or so playing on the hillside by the lot. We'd catch the occasional soft-gust mid jump elevator ride and had a riot until we were exhausted and had run out of our proverbial dollar bills. Not epic by any means . . but better than the tatooed lady.

P.S. I felt bad for Kenny, who's request for a creative post (not to be confused with pole), worked about as well as the idea that heavy back hair attracts supermodels.

On a less edgy note - here's a video I put together of some of the clips I've had taking up hard Drive Space:

Considering how Craig always comes though for the utah windsurfers I figure I need to start getting cool clips of ALL the Utah Kiteboarders so I can edit something for the Windriders meeting so it's not as one-sided this year.
