Strawberry River 27 Mar Zephyr Big Skis Powered to Lit

Postby ChrisPSherwin » Sun Mar 27, 2011 8:50 pm

Well, I have to thank someone for leaving again. It sounds like the wind was good this morning, and I got there around 12ish with my buddy Eric from California. When I rolled in there was very little wind. I rigged any way, and 5 SECONDS after someone sacrificed themself (after a good session methinks) the wind turned on again.

For the next three and a half hours Todd, Eric and I acted like idiots in numerous locations. At one point I had to take cover from the ridgeline. Powered to Lit to "Dude you should hide." At the start and end it was a wee light for just a few minutes, but I came home trashed and that's what counts. Did some small glides floating in place for a while with an interesting updraft. A little bigger and I would have been concerned about blowing to Currant Creek. I did see Marty hanging out in the air for an extened period of time. I thought he had too much responsibilty to be catching that kind of air

Too many people to mention. John, Ralph, Billy, Jim, Derry, Kevin, Tommy and whole ton of others having a good time. Lots of hang time from the crew today. Tomorrow looks like a nuke fest at the river if it clears out enough before dark.

Let's do it again!

Actually, I was riding Billy's kite for a test drive, pretty sure that was The Flying Squirrel you saw, on my Zephyr.

Awesome day at the View Area, terrain park.
