Got a phone call last week. One seat left on Vayda Air, departing Heber and bound for a secret location on the Baja Coast. How could I not go? After years of driving down I can say that flying in a small plane rules the free world. Tom, Kevin, and me had an awesome trip. Best waves on the day we arrived. Not a ton of swell after that first session but plenty of wind the whole time we were there. Did some epic down wind runs on the coast and a couple in the estuary. Ripping glassy water next to twenty foot sand dunes was so cool. Kevin did not come back with us a South Swell is on tap starting tomorrow. Lucky for him but a six hour flight versus a twenty-four hour dive was an easy decision for me. Snowing at Alta today and now I wish I could have stayed in Baja a little longer myself. Thanks Tom for a great trip!

Bob,

Glad you had a great trip!!! I Wish I could have gotten on Vayda Air with you guys. I hope Tom let you fly home, it is almost as fun as the kite trip. See you soon in HR.
