6/7/11 Sulfur 5.2m 109L Whoa....

Postby John Freed » Tue Jun 07, 2011 11:39 am

Arrived at 2:00 to an east wind, then a south wind, then a south-east wind, then a 4.2 wind, then a 6.5 wind... finally decided to rig a 5.2m, and use a bigger board so I wouldn't sink in the lulls... that water isn't that warm yet. Anyway, enjoyed a couple of hours fairly over-powered, mainly sailing a south-east wind up against the shore. Then... it really decided to blow. My meter recorded a gust of 45, decided to hang it up given the temp had dropped 20 degrees, no one on the lake but myself, and it was all I could do to hold onto my rig as I de-rigged. Wow...
