how's that launch these days?
The gazebos are flooded out (in fact you cannot get off the stairs without stepping into the water and around the railing), The "Beach" is covered with a nice bed of dead reeds to de-rig on.

Lots of half burned logs, stumps, rusty nails etc.
what time of day?
I slogged until about 6:15. Craig said 6:00 and I should have listened. At home the trees were showing 6.0 and already on before 5:00, but once I got passed the stupid train it was light.
Lindon is really fun on the right North day, but I still have not figured it out. I am often wrong, when I think it will be great I am disapointed and when I think it will probubly suck I get a dream session. For Lindon you need to live close by. As Josh told me, Provo Boat Harbor is a better bet if you are going to drive very far. But don't get me wrong I really like Lindon.
