NWS:
Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Calm wind.

Craig:
Look for DC wind in the 7.5/14M range for a couple of hours around 2PM, and probably pretty steady.

Guess whose forecast was more accurate!

Actually, it was even better than Craig predicted. When my daughter and I arrived at Chucktown beach, Paul and Angie were headed out on a 6.4 and a 5.5 respectively and were both very powered up. A 5.0 worked well for me. Pretty steady when I started at 3:30, then got quite gusty, then steadied out for awhile before backing off to below 5.0 range. A keeper!

There was a Spencer sighting as well! Did my first (slightly) airborne powered kite loops today. Nothing is better for your facial complexion than getting a fully powered 11 meter yank face-to-water smackdown. It's too bad that the left side of my face didn't get the same cleansing. At least I can feel that side though. Alan was staying upwind during his 2011 summer debut, and in a stunning change of events...Dave flew his 14 instead of his 5. Not really sure why
