Nice 2 hr short board session from 7:30-9:30. Bit marginal on the 6.7; a 7.5 would have been the call, although that woulda been less fun planing jibes. (what is it about a 7.5 -- all that surface drag?)
Overall gustier than G'ville is normally, however I think the warmer weather is bringing the upper air down to G'ville again so I'm not complaining. Lake is so high you can almost chop hop over the top of the dike on the far side (not really). Nicer for sailors/kiters now since the upper berm is all big welcoming (sorta) gravel stones instead of nasty jagged rip rap, so much better surface to get out and/or relaunch from. Bird notes: Heard a meadowlark! They used to be all over the Utah Lake launches but I think the developments took care of them. Maybe still at Rush? I was at Antelope last week and they were everywhere. Far out. Lots of horned larks as usual. Cool little suckers.
