Hood River June 22-27

Postby trevmorrell » Sun Jul 03, 2011 8:35 pm

Hit Hood River on the perfect week. Everybody at the beach said it was the first week that it actually felt like summer. Rode 5,8, and 10 every day except one. If anybody is curious I was able to fly back from portland with a golf bag no questions asked. Golf bag had 1 kite (16m complete) two boards a harness and some misc items. Weight came to 49lbs. No extra charges. :)

While I was there the event site was still closed to kiteboarders. It was scheduled to open the day after I left. The sandbar is under about 1.5 feet of water. Current isn't too bad at the event site. Rufus has crazy strong current right now. I'm headed back down the first week of August.
