We have had a ton of Magic days at the gorge but yesterday was unreal. 8M kites and way over head waves with warm weather and sunshine. Ryan Allen and Jason Klein Joined myself Derry Mac, Bob Allen and Doug Mills for a hardcore Utah locals dream day! What a treat!

Big props to the skills these riders had on a massive day on the OR coast with massive bombs and 2 story white water to deal with!!!!

Love the Utah crew at any kite spot! Well done Boys!

Wow! That one ranks as one of my best days of kiting ever. I've kited in waves before, but this was the first time i was actually riding (surfing) the waves in. The forecast was for low to mid 20's wind and 7-9 ft swell. Not being an experienced wave guy, i'll assume that means the size of the wave before they start to break, because the breaking faces were roughly double that size. somewhat terrifying as the wave rises up below you and you shoot down the face knowing that a small mistake will have large consequenses. Doing this on a twintip, i was very careful to keep the nose up. a quick look back and you see a house sized wall of water following you. The toughest part was getting back out, with overhead walls of whitewater coming at me were intimidating enough to make me turn back in repeatedly. I finally figured out that launching a good sized jump over the whitewater is an option to get you out, but you better stick the landing becuase there's another wave coming....
