Rush to G-Ville 7/17 SUNNY, HOT and WINDY!!

Postby Duane Bush » Sun Jul 17, 2011 5:36 pm

Arrived at Rush 1230 and sailed OP on a 6.0 /94 ltr. for about an hour but had to clear weeds every other reach even with a 25cm wave fin. When I wasn't loaded up with weeds, the jibes were some of the fastest, funnest I have ever had at Rush on butter-smooth flat water. The Water is clear and the weeds smooth out the chop so I cant wait to get back on the lake with a weed fin and the kiters who by the way were lovin it!! . Blasted over to G-Ville and sailed all by my lonesome self on a 5.2. Some of the puffs were in the 4.5 + range. Sailed from 2-4pm and finished gracefully when my mast snapped 100 yards off shore (lucky) at the ferrel upper section of a PowereX 430 RDM, so if anyone has one they want to sell let me know. After chasing wind in the mountain lakes yesterday and getting skunked it was nice to get out and blast around in the desert where the wind blows... I noticed the the wash to the west of the lake had water running in it so hopefully the lake continues to come up and stay a bit ahead of the weeds.
