I got out of work early and headed up. Got to strawberry about 3. saw a couple of kites at the river. Given the wind direction I figured it'd be better at the Marina or chicken creek. I was well powered on 14 meter for three hours. I ended up going way up wind (east) of the Marina buildings and played around on the hills that are south of chicken creek. So I guess that means I should've parked at chicken creek. Had tons of fun on the hills! And I had a fun down winder on my way back to the car. All in all it was a blast! Snow could've been better. But it was decent on the hills. And as Billy always says "it better than not kiting"!
