I figured someone would have posted by now, since there were at least a dozen kiters there most of the day. Conditions were still decent after last week's storms. Wind was a little on and off at times as it came in from different directions over the hills, but was nice and steady out on the reservoir south of the hills. The 6 inches or so of powder on top of the ice was just enough to hold a solid edge for some fast reaches out on the open reservoir. It made me a little nervous to see slush a few times in my tracks, but I figured as long as I staying moving I wouldn't have any problems. It was cool to see some of the peeps gliding off of the hill to the west. Hopefully this won't be the last hoorah for Strawberry this season.
