Arrived around two to one guy just leaving. it was weird riding solo for two hours at Barbwire beach with good wind and sun and no one else. Rode fully powered the entire time minus a few lulls. Dear Creek did not seem as gusty as normal. Water temps are still fairly cold. Rode until my feet and hands were feeling pretty numb.

Sounds as though your timing was perfect. Earlier in the session it was SUPER gusty, even by DC standards, at least down at DCCB. George managed to look good holding down his 5.7; I was OP in the biggest gusts on a 5.0 (and briefly on a 4.0)! Dave got some short planing rides on his 4.4.
