Feb 3 Skyline 17m Big Skis

Postby ChrisPSherwin » Sun Feb 03, 2013 10:35 pm

Arrived at Skyline at 2pm and was in the air by 215. The area right by the parking lot is pretty hammered by snomobiles but there's some fresh left. Further west however it was just plain bitchin! :oo Sunny, wide open, creamy snow, pow stashes, westerly winds, new jumps, fast. I was able to get pretty far downthe hill by the trees. Just an awesome day. Even the windblown stuff was soft. I don't get down to Skyline much, so it was a treat. Portable meter read 18-22 for most of the session. Perfectly powered and no gusts.

3 kites up when I arrived (12-13m I think), and then I had the whole place to myself while people watched a power outage on TV. Got in my car at 530 and still caught the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Oddly enough, I think Strawberry fired up just as I walked out the door. Maybe I could have saved an extra 2.5 hours of driving, but I am VERY glad I went :)))
