Started around 11am at the View area and headed across to the hills north of the marina. It was a long trek but the powder on the hills was worth it. Problem was that after a couple runs the wind died. It was a struggle to get back at first, then the wind picked back up and Andrew and I headed back towards the VA. Found a nice spot to jump off the cliff at the edge of the ice. Then found a nice powdery spot in a gully to practice some glides. Watched and took a few pics of Peter and Jake going huge. Best day of the year for me so far. We do need more snow but if you look around you can find areas where the wind blown powder is deep. By the time I left it was near overpowered on the 11m, not sure how peter was holding down a 17m.
