Sal and I were there around 10:00 and nobody else around. We parked and launched up on the west ridge. The wind was a bit light but steady. The snow had just started to soften up and it got better as the day went on. I had fun dropping into the bowls far back on the ridge. It was like riding in a skateboard park. As we came back and looked towards the lower parking lot it was a now filling up. Seems that the Mai Tai event had shown up. It was fun to watch all the kites, the most kites Skyline has seen at one time for a while. People from all over the globe with a few pro riders mixed in.
