Deer Creek No Labor just fun Day

A lot of south wind in the valley and what looked like blue skies trying hard to get here. So I gambled and went up to DC. I pulled up to Pepe's Point about 12:30 as Ralphie-boy was rigging 17. There were some caps and it was kiteable. Waited a bit, checked the satellite and it looked to clear in about 10 minutes. As it cleared the wind ramped up to a nicely powered 12 meter wind. Stayed that way for a good 2 to 3 hours. decent number of kites out. And the stand up paddle board girls were a bonus.
