1/14 Skyline 15M Speed 3

I took off the afternoon from work. Arrived around 2 PM. I knew that we had high winds the past few days, but I was surprised at how scoured the hills were at Skyline. Plenty of zastrugi in spots and less snow on the exposed west faces. The good riding was in the lee areas. Fortunately the wind was SSW, so I was able to ride the valley below Bosco and the halfpipe upwind from the launch area.

The riding has actually degraded on the face of Bosco due to the high winds. It is not the worst that I have seen it, but it is not great. If you see SE winds in the forecast, get down there as the lee hills are in awesome condition.

BTW, if you have not tried a 3B Board, you need to give Don a call. I have a 179 Strawberry Board and it rocks. If you are riding a Twisted board or a standard snowboard, you owe it to yourself to try the difference.
