Started kiting at 1130 and had W/WSW winds in the low teens. The winds increased shortly thereafter to the upper teens. It is not a normal pattern to have W/WSW winds during an inversion so I think I got lucky. The surface is very packed on the ridgetops but there is still some soft snow to be found. All in all it was a great time-especially for this season.
